My first two weeks in Vietnam have been a blast but also a lot of hard work.  The first thing you notice in the city is the crazy traffic.  Almost everyone here has a motorbike and they drive like there are no lanes and no laws so I have pretty much stuck with walking everywhere along with the occasional taxi.  My room is pretty nice here and I have a big bed which is great, my own bathroom and even a TV with ESPN and HBO.  Plus I have free WiFi which is so awesome.  I have just gotten back from my second week of class and it is going really well.  This past week I had the chance to teach two Vietnamese kids English along with teach my first practice class with 20 students.  Both went very well and this coming week I have 3 more practice classes coming with around 35 students in each of them.  Other than that I am doing good in the class and my classmates are awesome.  One of them Andrew, is staying at the same guesthouse as me so we go out for dinner and what not most nights and most of us guys hang out on the weekends together.  The food here is amazing and soooo cheap.  I've been eating a lot of noodles and rice, but they have a lot of places serving western food here too and most meals cost less than 5 dollars and you can even get a sandwich on the streets for 50 cents.  I hope to blog again soon and I miss you all!

Africa Part 2

On our 4th day in Africa we went to Lake Manyara part which was much different and more jungle like then the rest of the parks.  This park was pretty much overrun by baboons and we also found a hippo pool and watched as 8 of them came out onto land.  On the 5th day we drove to the Serengeti and stopped to look into the huge Ngorogoro crater.  We got to watch a lion stalk a group of gazelles and then saw a cheetah too!  Lastly we saw some lion cubs.  TBC tomorrow...
