Tokyo got me ready for the cold

Back at home!

Pritch was with me my last few days in Vietnam and we went out in the city and went to a lot of the historical sights I had yet to visit.  We started at the Reunification Palace and then went by Notre Dame.  We also visited the War Remnants museum during this time and that was my favorite as it was all about the war and history which I am very interested in.  The rest of the trip was a lot of walking around and showing Pritch the city and eating good food and drinking a lot including staying up all night to watch the Superbowl which while fun, I don't think I would do again.

Then our trip moved to Tokyo which was amazing.  I thought Tokyo was really awesome and we had a whole lot of fun there.   Our hotel was amazing and we had heated toilet seats, a waterfall shower, and free breakfast and happy hour every night and it was all free because Pritch used his points on it which was sweeeet.  We spent a lot of our time just exploring different parts of the city which is really cool but super expensive and taking in a few of the sights including the huge gardens right next to our hotel.  Tokyo is a city I definitely want to go back to.

My flight home was a long one, 12.5 hours, but it was ok since I had an exit row seat and when I returned I was greeted by my parents and Nary.  The trip was amazing and I am so glad I did it, but I am glad to be back in the good ol' USA!!!

Africa Part 2

On our 4th day in Africa we went to Lake Manyara part which was much different and more jungle like then the rest of the parks.  This park was pretty much overrun by baboons and we also found a hippo pool and watched as 8 of them came out onto land.  On the 5th day we drove to the Serengeti and stopped to look into the huge Ngorogoro crater.  We got to watch a lion stalk a group of gazelles and then saw a cheetah too!  Lastly we saw some lion cubs.  TBC tomorrow...

Berlin & Prague

Our enormous Czech meal! What Min and I woke up to everyday... The next morning we actually missed our 7 AM train out of Amsterdam but when we got to the train station at 9 AM they said to just grab the next one in 20 minutes, so no big deal.  We got into Berlin around 4 PM and it was raining bad and just seemed very dreary.  By the time we got to the hostel and got settled it was 6 PM and we decided to just go to a local bar and watch the NFL.  It was pretty fun and we even met a guy who plays offensive line for a Berlin football team.
