Berlin & Prague



Our enormous Czech meal!















What Min and I woke up to everyday...
The next morning we actually missed our 7 AM train out of Amsterdam but when we got to the train station at 9 AM they said to just grab the next one in 20 minutes, so no big deal.  We got into Berlin around 4 PM and it was raining bad and just seemed very dreary.  By the time we got to the hostel and got settled it was 6 PM and we decided to just go to a local bar and watch the NFL.  It was pretty fun and we even met a guy who plays offensive line for a Berlin football team. 
The next morning we went to Prague and got there around 6:30 PM.  The hostel was amazing, no bunk beds, just the 3 of us, with a separate dining room and kitchen with a fridge and microwave.  We even had a TV even if out of 200 channels the only English one was CNN International.  That night we went for a real Czech meal and Min and I wanted to split the enormous meat platter but due to a miscommunication problem ended up with 1 each.  It was sooo much food but luckily we had a fridge this time to put the leftovers in.  The rest of the night we went to the main city center and checked out the bars.  The next day we took a walking tour of the city.  It was about 2 hours and our tour guide Jeff was great.  We saw the astronomical clock, some castles, churches, and cemeteries and learned a whole lot of Czech history.  We walked around a bit more and then went out again to the main city center at night.  Overall, Prague was one of the best cities we visited.

Africa Part 2

On our 4th day in Africa we went to Lake Manyara part which was much different and more jungle like then the rest of the parks.  This park was pretty much overrun by baboons and we also found a hippo pool and watched as 8 of them came out onto land.  On the 5th day we drove to the Serengeti and stopped to look into the huge Ngorogoro crater.  We got to watch a lion stalk a group of gazelles and then saw a cheetah too!  Lastly we saw some lion cubs.  TBC tomorrow...

Vietnam End of Year Party

Open bar dude! Yeah I ate that Brando and I Brando's really not gay......promise Alway's with the tongue Man I hate karaoke! I am now down to my last week of teaching and with the Chinese New Year fast approaching my school center had a end of year party for all of us last night.  It was a lot of fun and soooo much food.  We had a 6 course meal with everything from pig to seafood rice to fish and everything else.  There was also an open bar which we took full advantage of, although there was a limit to how much I could do since I had to work this morning at 7 AM.  Me and the other foreign teachers got a bottle of Johnnie Walker as a gift which was awesome and it will be put to good use when Pritch comes to visit in a little over a week.  They also had Karaoke and managed to drag my, David, and Brando on stage to sing two songs which for me was hard, cuz I am not a good singer.  I have my last two days of teaching on Tuesday and T...

Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta

Cu Chi Tunnel Hole Closed Trap Open Trap some delicious tea... lotsa bees authentic vietnamese music snakes, why'd it have to be snakes... crocodile and wild boar lunar new years in Vietnam On the monkey bridge Over the last few days I have taken 2 trips w/ my buddy Andrew to explore other parts of Vietnam.  My first trip was on Sunday and I went to the Cu Chi Tunnels.  The tunnels are very famous Vietnam War tunnels and the Vietnamese used them as undergroud passageways and cities during the war against as the propoganda video we saw called us "The American Invaders from Washington D.C."  First we saw the original holes they went in and they were less than a foot by foot square so we dont know how they fit in them.  We saw some other entrances and then saw some Vietnamese traps they used during the war along with some of their clothing and weapons from both sides of the war.  We then saw some of the typcal food t...
